My strengths certainly include my willingness to engage with others. I recognise the strengths of others and manage to promote them. And I create trust - in the company, its people and its future.
What characterises you personally?
Integrity, composure and an honest interest in people and their opinions.
What does modern leadership mean to you?
Everyone has their strengths. It's up to me to recognise these and make the best possible use of them. Mutual trust paired with high expectations on both sides and appreciation for each other and for what has been achieved must be in harmony. This requires emotional intelligence. I consider this to be the most important character trait for successful, modern leadership.
What are your biggest challenges in this regard?
Making clear decisions and delegating responsibility is not always easy for me. "Being able to let go" is not one of my strengths.
Do you see the often-described separation between private and professional life as helpful and necessary or is there no clear separation for you?
We work hard together and have to be able to trust each other. To do this, it is necessary to share at least the basic core values. Work relationships can also develop into friendships, but they don't have to. In my experience, too close professional relationships sometimes have the disadvantage that the objective view of successes and failures is lost. A clear dividing line between private and professional life is helpful here.

The people at Cobalt are essentially united by their hunger for success, their professionalism and their interest in people.
How did you come to Cobalt?
I was approached directly by an English colleague in 2007 and was a little hesitant at first. I have never regretted starting in 2008.
What do you value most about working at Cobalt?
The feeling of working for one of the best recruitment consultancies in Germany. And the entrepreneurial freedom we are given.
